Cursor version: 0.50.5
When submitting queries using Claude 3.7 in Agent mode, the interface freezes indefinitely without any feedback. Unlike previous behavior where timeout retry prompts would appear, there’s now simply no response at all after getting stuck.

can you try to reinstall the intellicode/intellisense extension and see if that makes any difference?

Thank you very much! It works on version 0.47.8. I’ll try it later when I get home—since the version there is 0.50.5, I’m not sure if it will work. I’ll test it out and provide an update afterward.

It worked with version 0.50.5, but the first reinstallation of the IntelliCode plugin didn’t take effect. I’m unsure if it was a version compatibility issue, as the problem persisted. I then uninstalled 0.50.5 and installed 0.47.8, which prompted a timeout error. The second attempt still got stuck. After automatic updates, it was automatically upgraded back to 0.50.5. I reinstalled IntelliCode again, and it finally recovered. The exact cause remains unclear.
Please refer to my previous response where I detailed the specific steps that worked with version 0.50.5. However, I’m not entirely sure if the issue was necessarily caused by IntelliCode, as I also reinstalled Cursor during the process.
Unfortunately, I just tried using the agent and Claude 3.7 again, but encountered the same issue of no response. The problem remains unresolved, and each time it requires an extremely long wait in the queue.Clearly, IntelliCode did not resolve this issue. @jdubb75
Is it also saying slow request, get fast access here below that and eventually they respond now though? Before it was indefinitely? Does resending work or is it 100% you cannot get any requests through at all?
This is what worked for me, but I had to stay downgraded below v0.50
I’ve retried many times, but it still doesn’t work. Maybe I need to consider downgrading.
It might be best for now, at least until devs can handle it. I can only do so much from my position

Yes, I’ve tried various solutions: uninstalling and reinstalling Cursor; multiple retries; repeated reinstallations of IntelliCode; modifying prompts; using different problem descriptions; attempting without images, etc., but none worked. Currently, I’ve rolled back to version 0.47.8 which functions, but the slow requests are unbearable—taking at least 5 minutes or more. I noticed another post mentioning that versions below 0.46 work normally, and I plan to try those later.

I’ve tried version 0.45.17, and while the interruptions have indeed stopped, the slow request processing remains unacceptably sluggish. This has significantly impacted my workflow. Due to pressing development milestones that require reliable tools, I’m reluctantly forced to consider discontinuing my subscription and switching to a faster alternative. Regretfully, this performance issue leaves me no other choice.
If the intellicode/intellisense was the solution, be sure to select it as the solution so it can help others. Whether or not you decide to stay with Cursor
