Why is my models list in Cursor settings missing so many models? (PRO)

I have been using Claude 3.5 Sonnet for so long I have just checked my Cursor settings and can’t see any deepseek models, o3 models or the new Sonnet 3.7 models? I am on the Pro plan. I am also on the most recent version.

This is all I can see:

I am seeing the screenshots of other people and they have o3-mini, deepseek, sonnet 3.7 etc. Why is mine missing these in the cursor settings models section? I understand I can add them manually but I don’t know where to reference them against and it’s unnerving that I don’t have them.

Cursor, I have a feeling you are purposely not showing all the models to all users to reduce traffic. Very sneaky. I am a paying customer and not impressed.

Hey, which version of Cursor are you using? claude-3.7-sonnet is available in version 0.46. However, the models deepseek and o3-mini should be available to you. Try adding them manually and let me know if it works.

Hi. It’s Version: 0.46.3.

I am able to add it manually but why aren’t they showing up like they are for other people? Also they are manual adds with a ‘x’ next to the model name so not managed by Cursor. My models list doesn’t seem to be kept up to date as I seem to have a model like claude-3-5-sonnet-20241022 which others are saying has been removed.

Yes, it seems so. Do these models work even though you added them manually? Also, check the DevTools panel for any errors.

Yes they seem to work. What is the devtools panel?

I don’t think there are errors, I’m out of my depth with the devtools tbh. Any ideas why my models list is not updating?

Any update here?

Hey, what models are missing right now? I’d recommend trying to log our and back in, just to make sure the list is up to date!

Here’s a screengrab @danperks. I had to manually add Sonnet 3.7, o3 is missing, deepseek etc. Logging in and out does nothing

Hi @danperks this is now resolved! Did you guys push a fix?

Hey, we did have some teething issues with Claude 3.7 which caused it to only be available to Pro users, but o3 and DeepSeek should’ve been there the whole time!

Glad to hear it’s fixed regardless :tada:

Hello, I have a question regarding Cursor IDE: at the moment access to Claude 3.7 for free users is limited. As far as I understand, users with PRO subscription can use Claude 3.7 with fast 500 pools. Is Claude 3.7 now available for slow pools with PRO subscription??

As explained on Cursor – Usage, Pro subscriptions include unlimited slow requests for premium models

Claude 3.7 is listed as a premium model, so yep - you can use it through the slow pool with a Pro subscription. You get 500 fast requests per month included, after that you’ll be moved to the slow pool unless you enable usage-based pricing

The wait times in the slow pool are usually pretty reasonable unless you’re way over your fast request limit

Same here!

I am a pro user on Mac with version 0.46.9 and still don’t see Sonnet 3.7 ?

Hey, try adding these models manually as mentioned above.

here’s what devtools shows even though manually added models workbench.desktop.main.js:955 Error checking file existence: Error: Unable to resolve filesystem provider with relative file path ‘cursor.aisettings:cursor/aisettings’
