Same for me. If Claude 3.7 and Gemini 2.5 pro are specified, it will keep staying in the “generating” state and no response will be returned afterward. However, Cursor can only work properly if GPT4.1 is specified. My current Cursor version is 0.50.5, and the operating system is Windows 10. In fact, this abnormal situation has been ongoing for almost four days, occurring after upgrading from version 0.49.6 to version 0.50. Someone has already reported this issue on the forum, and I have seen similar posts. I also failed to resolve this abnormality after rolling back to version 0.49.6. At first, I thought it was an IP issue, but the problem persisted even after using a VPN.

So now I’ve spent money on the Pro version, and after using up 500 fast requests, it’s basically unusable. It’s not even as good as the free Trace international version. Although you have to queue up with the free version, it can still be used.

Ive just made a support ticket via the email about this, from what ive learnt from forums cursor may be putting a limit on the requests you can make within a certain amount of time. Me persoanlly ive made over 800 slow requests and now getting this issue, but ive seen others who have made thousands and are fine so im really unsure.

It’s really disappointing that Cursor has even restricted search access to this article title on their forum.
