Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report.

This is a known issue. The model settings for Agent sometimes reset after updates.

A few questions to help us understand:

  • Which model were you using before the update?
  • Is it only Agent mode, or did other modes (Ask, Plan) reset too?
  • Is this the first time, or does it happen after every update?

Temporary workaround: After updates, please check the model settings manually.

A similar feature request is here: Agent Mode-Specific Default Model Saving (saving a default model separately for each mode).

Let me know if you run into this again. It helps us understand how often it happens.

  • Which model were you using before the update?
    Claude Opus 4.5 or 4.6, don’t remember.

  • Is it only Agent mode, or did other modes (Ask, Plan) reset too?
Didn’t check the other modes before I switched back to Claude. I just tried now, and they seem to be on Claude.

  • Is this the first time, or does it happen after every update?
This might have happened months ago idk, but not recently. I’ll follow up if it happens again.
