Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Describe the Bug

Agents view is doing nothing - there used to be a big difference between Editor and Agents view but Agents view is now doing nothing.

Steps to Reproduce

Click at the “Agents” in the top left corner.

Expected Behavior

Close the editor and show only agents.

Hey, this isn’t a bug. The Cursor team intentionally removed the “Agents/Editor” toggle button in the top-left corner in favor of a new layout customization system.

Here’s how switching works now:

  • Top-right corner: the gear icon lets you set up and save your own layouts
  • You can create and save different panel configurations

They’re also working on adding keyboard shortcuts to quickly switch between views. That’s on the roadmap.

If you have specific layout requests or want the old toggle behavior back, please leave feedback in the megathread. There are already 200+ posts with ideas, and the team is actively collecting feedback.
