Can we bring the inline diff view?

After the last update that agent drawer instead of the agent tab history also removed the inline diff view, which was actually very nice imo.
The new review flow is fine, but you don’t get the whole context of what is happening and where you are when checking the changes.
Please bring back the inline diff view as an optional way of reviewing what the agent created

Hey, thanks for the report. After the latest update, the diff viewing workflow has indeed changed - the inline diff view was replaced with a summary view in the agent panel, and clicking on a file opens it inside Composer instead of the main editor with inline diff.

To open a file with inline diff directly in the editor:

  • Cmd+Click (macOS) or Ctrl+Click (Windows/Linux) on the file name in the changes block in the chat
  • The file will open in an editor tab with full inline diff view and context

Alternative:

  • Use the Git sidebar (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+G) - clicking on a file there opens it right away in the editor with inline diff

The team is considering bringing back the inline diff view as an optional feature. Stay tuned for updates.

Hey, thanks for the info. I did try to do the CMD+click trick, but it did not work.
I tried to close the file and CMD+click to open it also didn’t work.

The git one worked, but in my case i had that in the side by side view for a different use case, but that is my own problem

Please let me know if they bring it back!
