Can't run concurrent tasks on 3.7 MAX

Thanks for reporting a bug you have found in Cursor!
Please add the following info to help us diagnose your issue:

Previously w/ 3.7 Sonnet Thinking, I could run multiple Cursor windows on different codebases and have the agent complete tasks concurrently.

Now after updating to 0.47.8 (on my macbok pro) and using 3.7 Sonnet Max, I find that running the agent in one window prevents it from making progress in any other window.

Thus, even though Max is better at executing a given task quickly, it’s a net productivity loss due to only being able to execute one thing at a time.

Hey, what do you see in the second window while the first is still processing?

Don’t think we’ve done anything intentional here to stop this from working!

It’s just hung saying “Generating…”. If I try to interrupt and restart, it remains hung (unless I do so when the agent in the other window is inactive). This only started happening with Max. I guess it could potentially be a system resource thing.

Perhaps a racing condition for chat storage? locked file?

Can you run the Developer: Toggle Developer Tools command and look for any errors in the console that may be related?
