Cloud Agent default model/repo settings not respected

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Somewhere else…

Describe the Bug

When creating new cloud agents in web it always resets to expensive Codex 5.3 model and forces me pick what repository to work on.

Even though I have specified what default model/repository I want in cloud agent settings page.

Why it matters? I can’t give it out to non-developers for small tweaks, random fixes without burning up my token budget.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Set cloud agent default settings in here https://cursor.com/dashboard/cloud-agents#environments
  2. create new claud agent https://cursor.com/agents

Expected Behavior

Claud agent should use my set default model and default repostory

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known issue. The default model and repository set in Cloud Agents settings don’t get saved when you create a new agent. A few users have hit the same thing:

The team is aware. For now the workaround is to manually pick the right model each time you create an agent, unfortunately. I get that this is extra annoying when you need to delegate work to non-dev users.

I’ve added your report, it helps with prioritization. I’ll update the thread when there’s a fix.
