When using Windows 11 (tested on Mac and it works correctly), an unexpected behavior occurs while working with the cursor.
A window repeatedly opens and closes by itself, causing the application to constantly lose focus. This results in an erratic and unstable user experience, making it difficult to continue working.
Steps to Reproduce
open cursor, no more steps
Expected Behavior
no open a window automatically
Operating System
Windows 10/11
Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)
When working on Windows 11, a window that looks like a command line / console keeps opening and immediately closing.
Because it appears and disappears constantly, it steals the focus from the active application, making it extremely hard to work.
The window closes too fast to read its content, so I can’t identify what process is triggering it.
Impact:
Continuous loss of focus
Interrupts typing and navigation
Makes normal work almost impossible
Priority:
This issue should be treated as high priority, as it severely affects productivity and usability.
Any news about the fix?
This issue is seriously impacting my performance, and without a clear resolution timeline, I’m starting to consider switching to another tool.
