Hi, I’ve just (auto)updated to Cursor 2. I mainly use the editor, not agents. However, the new “Agent/Editor” switch shifted the whole menu, which breaks my muscle memory. Often times I try to click Files menu and ended up clicking on the “Agents” tab. Is there a way to hide this? If not, can you add an option to hide this? Or move it to the right side, which is much less used.

This is what happens when decisions are made by people who does not use the product.
Each update they push ruins something different

Hey, thanks for the feedback. There’s currently no way to hide or move the Agent/Editor toggle. I understand it interferes with your File menu muscle memory.
Several users have requested this feature (similar to other top bar controls that can be hidden).
For now, the toggle will remain visible, but you can use keyboard shortcuts to switch quickly: Ctrl+E (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+E (Mac).
Thanks for the reply. Can you help escalate this issue within your team? Adding an option to hide this toggle would solve this problem easily.

I also would appreciate the ability to hide entire topbar (that contains Agent | Editor options), especially in the View: Toggle Zen Mode view. It shifts the layout down the page and is distracting. Thank you.
yes please remove agents mode this is useless for real devs
i mean not remove it entirely
just let us decide show it or not
pinching in on this, it was the first thing that direclty only just cought my eye and I asked myself, how can I hide this… well in the next version I suppose? 
Please bring back the ability to open agents pane as a completely separate window. Its very nice to be able to have agents working on one monitor while working in the standard editor on the other.
