Cursor completion sound does not work

Describe the Bug

Even though I have selected the option to play the chime, and I selected to play a sound for “Task completed” in the menu opened by CMD + SHIFT + P, it doesn’t play any sound. I completely reinstalled cursor, the chime began working for some hours again, but then stopped working

Steps to Reproduce

Simply do any tasks with the agent, completion sound doesn’t work.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Anyone else with this problem? The completion sound is a very useful feature, and the fact that it doesn’t work is very annoying

@camiroaga-solar thank you for the bug report and details provided. Agree, its very useful when it plays.

While I cant reproduce it, could you check if following:

• Does toggle setting and restart Cursor get it running again?
• Settings > Editor Settings > search for sound: see the first two settings.

• Any errors in Help > Toggle Developer Tools > Console around the time when sound should play?

Hope more feedback helps to get this reproduced.
