Cursor doesn't launch anymore

Describe the Bug

I just upgraded cursor (via the “install new version” button that showed inside Cursor itself) and… I cannot start cursor anymore

Steps to Reproduce

Cursor on WSL2 / Windows 11
Install the latest version via the cursor update button inside the app
→ can’t start cursor anymore

Expected Behavior

being able to start cursor

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

I cannot launch cursor… so I can’t do that. But I am trying to be always at the latest version. So it must have been the n-1 version prior to this morning upgrade.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Let me know guys if you want me to share with you some logs or info from my system before I reinstall cursor.

I reinstalled Cursor (from downloading the Windows binary from the website)… and it just worked. Closing the issue.
