Extremely dangerous behavior, i asked cursor to move a single file out of my repo, the composer went crazy and kept calling more and more tools - now all my files are deleted, can you take a look at the server logs? I cant see anything on cursor

Hey, thanks for the report. I’m really sorry this happened.
Immediate recovery steps:
Composer Checkpoints (if available):
Find checkpoint buttons in the chat to the right of your previous requests
Pick a checkpoint from BEFORE the deletions started
This will restore your codebase to that saved state
Note: checkpoints are available only if you created them during the session
Git (recommended):
git status # See what was deleted
git restore . # Restore all deleted files
Check system trash:
macOS: check Trash in Finder
Files deleted by Cursor may be recoverable from the system trash
To help investigate this critical bug:
Turn off Privacy Mode: Cursor Settings (gear icon) > General > Privacy Mode
Get the Request ID: Composer chat menu (three dots) top right > Copy Request ID
Share here: the Request ID + whether you recovered the files
