Sorry, I’m referring to the new tabs feature for the chat panel.
Ah you can add new tab just click on new chat.
That just replaces the current chat, so its the old behaviour. Also there is not generated tab title, just the old Chat title.

I just made the test to show how it should be
If its 0.48 perhaps file a full Bug Report separately so the Cursor team can have a look.
When you click on the + Icon it adds a new tab if you didnt close the old one.
Just checked again, my version is: Version: 0.48.2 according to the about menu item. I’ll file a report, thanks for looking into this!

If anyone ever stumbles upon this, I figured it out:
I had the following setting set to “hidden” instead of “default” which was hiding the tab bar:
“workbench.activityBar.location”: “default”

Too bad I lost my entire chat history with it in all my instances!…
Just confirming: Chat Tabs appear to be removed in 0.48.5 & 0.48.6. am I missing something?

Looks like a great update - love the general UX improvements (like usage pricing visibility).
Excited to see what people do with custom modes.
Still isn’t working for me. It still looks/functions like the previous update, aka regular chat window without tabs, but all the other functionality is working (like custom modes)
How do I upgrade to the latest version?

Hello! After the update, I started receiving indexing error. Either it stucks on infinite indexing, either it says Handshake failed.
