Title says it all. After the latest version is installed, I close Cursor but then when I open it again, it’s on version 1.5.5, causing me to once again install the latest version. I need to do this over and over, it does not stay. Please help me solve this. I tried posting to bug reports but it will not allow me to create the topic.
Hey, could you give us more information about your setup?
as example;
How do you reproduce that issue? Does it always happen after restart?
What’s your OS?
Was it happening on versions prior to 2.0.34?
You can try to uninstall 1.5.5 entirely, and then do a clean install of Cursor from the website. Perhaps there’s some permission issue that prevents Cursor from staying up to date with current installation.
Thank you. I see now the 1.5.5 stays as the installed version on my system, even if I update to the latest version. I had to uninstall the 1.5.5 and install 2.0.34 from scratch. Just installing the latest version only seems to overwrite it until its closed and opened. Very strange.
It could be a permission issue. Hopefully clean install will fix that, but if anything, feel free to tell me and include details I mentioned above.
