Describe the Bug

Previous version was 1.5.11 and last night it asked me to upgrade to v2 and I did. After, when I open cursor, it still runs on 1.5.11 and asks me to upgrade. After closing the app and running it again, it’s version 2.0.34, but still asking to update. When I restart the app, it’s back to 1.5.11 and so on.

Steps to Reproduce

Open and close cursor

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

1.5.11 or 2.0.34…

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Lot of issues getting in new update response slow everything not working I have a pro plan why are you doing such nonsense things cursor

Uninstalling Cursor and installing it again helped get rid of the initial problem.
