Recently, when attempting to send a message to Deepsek-v3.1 in chat mode, an error occurs:
We’re having trouble connecting to the model provider. This might be temporary - please try again in a moment.

In editing mode, Deepsek works in the code window, but not in the chat window. Other free models work.

Steps to Reproduce

Open the chat. Select the Ask mode. Write your request and send it.

Thanks for reporting this. Please try these steps:

Update to the latest version - You’re on version 1.4.5, but the current version is 1.5.5. Please update and retest.
Run network diagnostics - Go to Cursor Settings → Network → Run Diagnostics to check your connection to Cursor’s servers.

If you’re on a corporate network or VPN, try disabling HTTP/2 in app settings (Cmd/Ctrl + , → search “HTTP/2” → enable “Disable HTTP/2”). Cursor – Common Issues

The cursor update solved the problem. Additionally, I did nothing.

Hey, yes, the issue was on the provider’s side and now everything should work fine.
