Hey, I’m experiencing a really frustrating issue today. The assistant simply won’t do anything. It gets stuck and doesn’t move forward, no matter which model I use or what I try.
I’ve already reinstalled everything, everything is up to date, I’m on the Pro plan with usage fully enabled — but the assistant won’t move past this red warning.

Hi I ran into the same exact issue on all 4 of my running projects, this is most likely a system wide thing that will be resolved in a few hours. I appreciate you posting so that I know it’s not just an individual user problem. I’ll check back in a few hours and let you know if it’s been resolved.
Hi everyone error it’s working again on my end, didn’t do anything but take a break and go to the mall haha. I didn’t close cursor either, on agent mode using claude 3.7
Well, it seems like nobody has addressed this yet. I’ve been experiencing this error since the last update, and it’s very frustrating.
I had a strange experience where my agent suddenly reverted to the beginning of my project and made changes that had been implemented a long time ago, in a very old prompt.
Same issue. Can write simple test comment just to see if the file is writable, findable, and whatnot. But anything more complex than inserting a comment fails. Either with edit_tool error, or Gemini simply dying in the middle of the conversation turn. Priority issue! Thanks for looking into this. Big impact on everyone.
Hey, if this is Gemini, Google are still working out the final kinks to ensure tool calls work correctly ever time, they are still somewhat unstable at the moment.
However, if you are not using Gemini, we definitely want to get this fixed.
Anyone facing this issue when they are not using Gemini and have privacy mode disabled should drop a request ID here, and we can take a look at whats failing behind the scenes!
I have the same issue with Claude 3.7 and tried to investigate a bit.
Here is my AI report on this :
The issue is specifically with PowerShell 7.5.0 on Windows 10.0.26100. We’re seeing console buffer errors when trying to execute long commands or write large files through PowerShell.
The error messages consistently show:
“The value must be greater than or equal to zero and less than the console’s buffer size in that dimension.”
“Cannot locate the offset in the rendered text that was pointed by the original cursor.”
We confirmed that:
We can create and write to files using Python directly with short commands
We have proper write permissions to the directory
The PowerShell environment has issues with buffer handling
Same problem here with agent claude 3.7 sonnet since yesterday, my Fast requests still growing every time I try do ask something to the agent, but every time I try since yesterday I alvays have the same iissue :

I already try to restart cursor, my computer and also reinstall cursor without any luck…
Really frustrating, and painfull…
Please please correct this problem fast!!
