Failed to Create Agents in Cursor Web Version

Describe the Bug

Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue with the Cursor Web version. The desktop version works fine, but on the web version I consistently get the error:

“Failed to create agents.”

Additionally, the “Agents Chat” panel completely disappeared in the web version and never comes back. I have already tried the following:

Logged out and logged back in

Cleared browser cache and cookies

Tried multiple browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave)

Used VPN from different regions (US, EU)

Checked that the “Agents” feature is enabled in Labs settings (works fine on desktop)

Even with these steps, the web version still fails to create agents. Could you please confirm if the Agents feature is currently supported in the web version, or if there is any known limitation compared to the desktop version?

Steps to Reproduce

Log in to Cursor Web (any browser, e.g., Chrome/Edge/Brave).

Go to the chat area where Agents should be available.

Select a model like Claude 4 Sonnet (MAX).

Try to create or start an Agent.

Observe the error message: “Failed to create agents” and see that the Agents Chat panel is missing.

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

I’ve been unable to make an agent work using the web UI. At first it looks like it’s created an agent, but if I navigate away from the page in return or refresh the page the agent disappears. No code changes are being made. No PRS are being created.
