Grok Bot: All bots completely unresponsive after update, Agent Computer recovery and reset

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Bugbot / Security Review Agent

Describe the Bug

All Grok Bots on my account have stopped responding completely.

Messages appear to send normally, but there is no response from the bot — even when sending something as simple as “Hi”.

This affects every bot on my account, not just one conversation or one bot.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open any Grok Bot.
  2. Send a message such as “Hi”.
  3. Message appears in the conversation.
  4. No bot response is generated.
  5. The same behaviour occurs across all of my bots.

Troubleshooting Already Completed

  • Confirmed I have 100% usage available
  • Restarted Grok Bot
  • Updated to the latest available Grok Bot version
  • Tested multiple existing bots
  • Tested duplicated bots
  • Performed Agent Computer recovery
  • Agent Computer was successfully recreated/reconnected
  • Performed a full Agent Computer reset
  • Tested again after reset
  • Installed the latest software update released today

None of these steps changed the behaviour.

Expected Behaviour

Bots should process the message and respond normally.

Actual Behaviour

Messages send but all bots remain completely silent.

Impact

This is a complete loss of Grok Bot functionality for my account. I was testing Grok Bot for business workflows and currently cannot use any of the bots at all.

I am also on a free trial, so this issue is consuming the period in which I am supposed to be evaluating the product.

Since resetting/recreating the Agent Computer did not fix the problem, could the team please investigate whether my account, bot-processing backend, session runner or provisioning state is stuck?

Please preserve my existing bots, conversations, routines and configuration.

Environment

Approximate issue start: 16 September 2026, around 21:20 BST

Error message: None — messages simply receive no response

Example affected bot: Victor Innovaite COF

I can provide screenshots or additional diagnostics if required.

Steps to Reproduce

The bug is still on going til date

Screenshots / Screen Recordings

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Version Information

From bot version 0.56.1

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the detailed report. I looked into what’s happening, and the good news is your bots and Agent Computer are fine. Nothing is stuck.

This is about the usage credit that comes with the Grok Bot free trial. It was fully used up on 16 September at around 20:45 UK time. From that point on, every message gets rejected before the bot can respond, which matches exactly when things went quiet.

The app should’ve shown a clear “usage limit reached” notice instead of staying silent. It didn’t, and that’s a known issue we’re tracking. I’ve shared the details with the team.

One more thing. In Settings > Usage, the percentage shows how much of the trial usage you’ve already used. So 100% means it’s all used up, not that it’s all available.

To keep using the bots, you’ll need to upgrade to a Cursor plan that includes Grok Bot (upgrade options are shown in the Grok Bot app under Settings > Usage), or link a SuperGrok subscription. All your bots, chats, routines, and settings are saved and will continue from where you left off. You don’t need to reset or recover Agent Computer again.

Let me know if anything behaves oddly after you upgrade.

Hey, I get it. When a bot silently stops replying and gives you no signal at all, it’s really confusing and gets in the way.

In most cases, this kind of “silent” stop means you’ve hit the usage limit. Your messages are sent, but they get rejected on the server before the bot can reply. The problem is that right now you don’t see a clear “usage limit reached” notification. It should show up, but it doesn’t. This is a known issue we’re tracking. You can check your limit in Settings > Usage the percentage shows how much you’ve used, not how much you have left.

But in your case it might not be the limit. To look into your specific situation, can you share a couple of details:

  • the name of the bot that went silent, and roughly when it last happened including your timezone
  • the Request ID if you can grab it in the bot chat: menu in the top-right corner > Copy Request ID
  • your Grok Bot version and OS version

With that, I can check what’s happening on your side.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

I followed the advice and purchased a SuperGrok account, but I’m still having trouble getting it connected properly to the Grok Bot account I was already using.

My original Grok Bot setup, including my existing bots, is on my Cursor account. I have now bought SuperGrok, but the SuperGrok account does not appear to be properly linked to that existing Cursor/Grok Bot account, and my bots are still not working.

I’ve been trying to sort this out for most of the day and I’m honestly getting very frustrated.

Could you please help me get the SuperGrok subscription linked to the correct existing Cursor account so I can continue using my original bots and conversations?

I can provide both account emails, screenshots, or any other information you need.

Thanks,
Charles
