Grok Bot: weekly usage hits 100% after bot-to-bot reviews the user asked to stop

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Grok Bot

Describe the Bug

Grok Bot burned the included weekly usage on a multi-bot review loop, then locked the account. Specialist bots (QC, UAT, Coding, UIUX) kept talking after you asked them to stay quiet and send the verdict to Command Agent only.

Sidebar: Weekly usage 100%
Banner: You’ve reached your Grok Bot usage limit. It resets in 3 days.
Fired 2 times between 06:37:17 AM and 06:37:38 AM
CTA: Upgrade to Pro+

Steps to Reproduce

after you review, sending back to the command agent. I only wanna do the job in the command agent
UAT Bot replied that the verdict would go to Command Agent and it would keep the chat quiet. The bots kept exchanging collapsed groups of messages anyway.

Expected Behavior

Bot-to-bot bounce-backs should stop — or at least not eat the weekly quota — when you say you only want to work in Command Agent. The limit banner should not fire twice in 21 seconds.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey @ting-ting234

Your bots were waking each other, and each bot-to-bot message runs a turn that counts toward your weekly usage, which is what pushed you to 100%. Asking them in chat to “stay quiet” is only a hint they can ignore, so the reliable fixes are:

  1. Run the work in one Command Agent and let it use subagents instead of separate bots. Subagents finish and stop, so nothing pings back.
  2. Delete the specialist bots you’re not using (QC/UAT/Coding/UIUX). A deleted bot can’t be woken, whereas just leaving one idle won’t stop its peers from waking it. Deleting also clears that bot’s chat, so save anything you need first.

The limit banner showing twice was just two blocked attempts after the pool was already full, not a double charge. Your weekly usage resets on its own (the app shows the countdown). This is something we’ve seen before and are tracking, and I’ll update here if that changes. If you’d like us to look at your account directly, email [email protected]

I just had 5 of my agents talking to each other for 7hours straight with NO Human interaction and burned through a lot of my on demand usage. Where could we appeal this to cursor? I need my $ back.
