Same issue here for 2 days already.
Yes Cursor team reports of sometimes occuring temporary outages with Gemini API at times. As this depends on the Google its likely out of hand. Gemini seems to be the next popular model and therefore has sometimes outage with the experimental Gemini 2.5 Pro model.

Not working for me when any MCP server is enabled, if that helps. Not ideal at all though having to work without these tools.

This was it – thank you! Disabling my custom MCP Servers in Cursor and restarting allowed me to query Gemini 2.5 Pro without the error above.
Hey, just to update, Google has some issues with their API not correctly functioning with MCP servers enabled but we think they have since resvoled this!
