I don't understand why the development team updated the UI

I don’t understand why the development team updated the UI. Why does a good tool keep struggling with the UI of the dialogue window? Can’t they see that users think the UI and operation of the new version are not as good as version 0.45? And is this arrow in the latest version rushed out for shoddy work?

There are a whole bunch of problems every time they release an update. To be honest, I don’t want to use their new versions anymore. I’m even considering giving up on this software. It’s getting more and more like a piece of ■■■■.

Hey there,

That’s the main reason why normal updates are pushed right before beta on the official site, brother. To avoid this type of issue, keep yourself on 0.45 until there’s a better outlook with higher 0.46.x and 0.47.x versions.

I agree with your point of view. I think the development team of cursor should focus on key issues, such as model degradation and some random answers, but it seems that they pay more attention to UI and interaction.

But it will update automatically, and I can’t find a setting to turn off the automatic update.

Above in your search, make sure you type this in > Open VS Code Settings

Once you’re there, it’ll prompt you to here:

Note: Install version 0.45, go into settings as quickly as you can, type in “update,” set the update mode to “none,” and then exit and re-enter the app. This avoids the app forcing an update while being in version 0.45.

Download from the official Cursor site to access the official download.

Thanks, I’ll try it
