Latest release 0.45.8 just uninstalls itself on first use

Unusable!

Install it on Windows and it just removes itself straight away.

Went back to 0.44.11 which installs fine, and only uninstalls itself now and again, which is a trait I have kinda grown fond of, so dont fix that.

But if you could get the latest one to install and work, and then delete itself a few weeks later that would be great.

Thanks,

Hey, it’s not being deleted but updated. It seems you keep interrupting the update process. There might be network issues preventing it from receiving updates. To avoid this, you can move the Cursor folder to a location other than Program Files, which will prevent the update process.

okay, I did wait ages?

Hey, 0.45.11 is the latest version, so I’d recommend upgrading to see if that helps.

Either way, we are working on some significant changes to this behind the scenes, which should be available soon!

This is still happening! It absurd that the Cursor team is not sorting this!

Could you try installing 0.46.7 from the website here: Downloads | Cursor - The AI Code Editor

It has some installation improvements that should fix this
