Currently, the only way to activate a one-month Pro+ plan is through a special method, and the price is three times that of a simple one-month Pro plan. However, I am interested in an annual Pro+ plan with a discount and wonder if there are any plans to offer such a subscription.

Cursor suggested I upgrade from Pro to Pro+ due to token usage, and I had to move from annual to monthly.
Ask yourself, how confident are you that you’ll still use the same AI tool a year from now.
Across all the available coding AI tools, I can’t tell that about any. The landscape just changes too quicky to tell what will happen in 3 months from now.
The AI model landscape is frequently changing, however the tool (Cursor) gives access to all the models. I’m confident I’ll still be using this IDE in a year.
A year ago, I had the same concerns when I decided to subscribe to the annual Pro plan. Over the past year, I’ve also used many other AI tools, but looking back, Cursor is still the more mature product. Its development workflow is also better suited for traditional developers rather than vibe coders.
Choosing an AI programming tool is like choosing a development team: finding one that you can work well with and collaborate smoothly is much more important than constantly switching to what seems like a “smarter” option. Admittedly, other AI tools each have their own strengths, but having to keep switching and adapt to their different workflows can be really exhausting.
Besides, even if I end up switching my main IDE completely, I can just request a refund then.
