Hey everyone,
I saw that there’s a new PRO plan with updated pricing and usage limits, but also an option to “Opt Out of New Pricing” in the settings.
Could someone explain the exact differences between the two?
What do I gain or lose by switching to the new pricing model vs staying on the old one?
Would really appreciate any clarification!
Thanks!
Opt-out = 500 Premium Request, The old pro plan.
New Pro Plan = Unlimited Request but with Rate limits.
As a customer, Many people saying can’t use new pro plan because after 5 request getting insanely rate limit time. If you gonna buy Pro plan, think about it.

Avoid Pro, it’s severely limiting or opt to legacy pricing. It’s an absolute joke.
I’m concerned that going back to the Opt-out plan would be a downgrade compared to the previous version (before the change to the current ‘PRO’ plan), for me—and many others—the current ‘PRO’ plan feels underwhelming, making us wonder, ‘Why this change?’, I know there are heavy and casual users, but I’d bet many users barely hit 500 requests a month (casual users)
The additional difference between old and new plan is that the old plan doesn’t depend on tokens usage - an empty context request counts equally to a request that fills almost all available context window.
ALSO on old plan there are some (naturally weaker) free models that you can use without worrying that you’ll suddenly hit rate limits and have to wait for hours. Suitable for quite a lot of tasks.
