New Update Dropped? [Solved: Early Release Default Notification]

Saw a new update available for Cursor in the past hour. Anyone know what it is?

Really wish changelogs were more easier for me to see in general. Lowkey hoping it’s not breaking anything major

it was just 2.1.41 & 2.1.42 early release updates for me. Or you set to Default and got any major updates? can you share your Cursor Version?

Version: 2.1.42
VSCode Version: 1.105.1

Thank you!

Right now it’s:

Version: 2.1.39 (system setup)
VSCode Version: 1.105.1

I’m not sure I like that the app doesn’t clarify in the notification that it’s an “early release” update at the moment!

Yes but you can set to Default in Cursor Settings > Beta > Update Access if you need stable versions only

Thank you so much Mirshod! I had no idea this was the default or that was even set that way. I personally think that’s risky to make as default but good to know we have the choice.
