There might have been a bit of a server outage. Does this issue still persist for you? Which model are you trying to use?
same here.
i’d like to re-install older version, but I deleted the installation files. Is there anywhere I can download an older version?
same here !
CTRL+K : KO with 0.36.2 ; OK with 0.35.1
CTRL+L : OK with 0.36.2 ; OK with 0.35.1
I luckily still had a copy of the older version maybe the team can make the previous release available for download
I tried installing 37.1 and I am getting the same connection failed error. Reverted to 35.1 and all is fine again
Are you using zscaler, a VPN, or any odd local networking tools? Often users see an issue here if they use a tool that doesn’t properly support http/2
yes which I dont have control over but 35.1 works so what is the difference ?
Please can somone providethe endpoints that needs to be open so that I can test if I have connection
I have more information :
I set up a proxy to see what is happening;
in version 35.1 all is fine I can see traffic flow to api2.cursor.sh:443
in the later versions it is not even hitting the proxy with CTRL-K
however CTRL- L still works as expected and hits api2.cursor.sh:443
Please advise
@qz2rg4 @ddureau @chi51 Are you able to use our autocomplete (Copilot++)? Knowing if Copilot++ would help us determine how to move forward here.
I am also facing the same issue while using cursor in a corporate setting (With VPN turned on over which I have no control). Both ctrl-k and copilot++ for auto completion is throwing an connection error but the chat is working fine and I am able to access all of the functionality and is also getting the response back.
I’m experiencing the same issue and am also using Zscaler.
My colleagues and I are also facing the same issue.
My company has an HTTP proxy for outbound traffic, and name resolution is performed by the proxy server.
Most of the functions of Cursor route traffic through the proxy as configured, but it seems that only the Ctrl+K command fails to resolve the name of api3.cursor.sh, resulting in a connection error.
Ctrl+L also fails to resolve the name of api3.cursor.sh, but it does not seem to result in a fatal connection error.
Here is a screenshot of the Developer Tools.
V38 has the same issue rolling back to 35.1
I am on v38, facing the same issue
@qz2rg4 How do i roll back to 35.1
Hi, I still have the setup files downloaded
@truell20 , maybe the team can make previous versions available for download until this issue has been resolved
found this How to download a specific version of Cursor IDE · Issue #1143 · getcursor/cursor · GitHub
@truell20 mentioned don’t have archived downloads at the moment
Is there any update for a potential fix, this is one of my favorite features.
Finally I found 30.5 installer then reinstall it. but when close cursor editor, update is automatically running to 38.1.
Update:mode: none, Update: Enable Windows Backgroud Updates: off
How do I stop auto update, Should I close TCP port?
