My verification was rejected several times. I even tried uploading new pictures of my driver’s license, but it was still rejected.
Now, I get the “Verification Limit Exceeded. We’re glad you’re enthusiastic, but it looks like you’ve already redeemed or attempted to redeem this offer” message when I try to verify again.
I reached out to SheerID, and, after waiting 8 days, they said to submit a new request (which I can’t do) and that they can’t do any verification through their support system.
I originally submitted my student ID because I am not comfortable submitting government ID with information if not necessary. After that did not work, I went ahead and attempted to submit my driver’s license. However, now I am unable to submit a second attempt so am locked out with the error

So my verification succeeded I just am unable to actually have it load within the cursor interface so i can redeem it. I have contacted support and they just tell me there is nothing they can do and I’ll have to pay for it. Why in the hell would i Pay $20 a month when you just told me i can have it free for a year…..SO please help me sort this out, because I was using Cursor quite a bit and would love to continue to, but again, I am not going to pay for something that I am eligible to receive at a discount
I had the same issue as many here. I attempted several verifications with a few different photos of my ID (I no longer can reproduce this page, but others have pasted it above), then contacted SheerID as instructed. They emailed me a week later with the message below. When I went back to re-submit with new photos, I now find the “Verification Limit Exceeded” error others have pasted above as well. This was the first time I applied for this program.

I tried to redeem the Student Plan several times while not logged into Cursor in my browser. After realizing I needed to be logged in, I signed in and tried again, but now I’m getting a “verification limit exceeded” message and can’t complete enrollment. I also reached out to SheerID, but they said they couldn’t help and closed the ticket. Could you please fix this issue.
Hi there I have been verified by SheerID but when I go round to using the discount I get redirected to the payment plans on cursor.com and they begin to load buffer (Loading Circle). I have waited a while but for some reason it never comes through.

@condor have a similar issue as other people in this thread. I’m a student at a US-based university and have not been able to verify with my driver’s license or passport. I have been able to verify on other apps with SheerID, but it’s not working with Cursor. Please look into it
Hello, my first (im new to trying student pack) verification via driver licence was rejected several times, I was uploading different photos od DL and it was rejected or some errors occured (sometimes i was getting mails about going to next phase and ID was not valid) and after that i am seeing error about exceeded limit of tries. I mailed sheer but got no reply yet. In the past I was verified via sheer and similar services without problem
Dear Cursor Team, I have the same problem many here describe. I have tried several different email addresses and accounts (even from different universities) and I have tried several different IDs as well as several different ID verification methods (scanned IDs, used phone camera and computer camera). None of these worked. I also contacted SheerID support and I faced the exact same issue my fellow students in this forum faced: No proper response. I would highly appreciate if you could help me out.

Hello, I encountered the same issue with many others. I used my US driver license for verification but was rejected by SheerID for 3-4 times, saying that they had trouble validating my ID. Then a new error occurred, saying the verification limit was exceeded. Could you please help me resolve this issue? Thanks!
Hello. I have encountered the error issue when trying to verify my student status for the first time. I’m a US university graduate student and I uploaded my passport to SheerID, but it said “We had trouble validating your ID. Please contact SheerID support.” Following the instruction here, I didn’t try to verify again. Can you help with the issue? Thanks a lot!
@condor Receiving the same issue. International student and I submitted the passport and I get the same error message. Already reached out to SheerID and it just goes into a feedback loop
I had the same issue but I tried again and now I have another issue. When I wanted to aplly for student offer, I uploaded my id image and I received an email. But when I click on “Finish Verification”, I’m facing this page.
@condor I am attempting to sign up for the Cursor student offer. I tried multiple times to get the SheerID app to accept my id pictures but now it says retry limit exceeded!
I’m worried about trying again.. it seems to think I’m not real.
I’m a current student at a college on the list, with the .edu email. I’m even using my school email to login to this board. Happy to provide whatever is needed, just need help with the buggy Sheer process.
