I have been using Cursor for a long time. This is the IDE that I consider the best.
I remember the time when Anthropic just released Claude 3.5 sonnet, when all requests in Cursor were very fast, even slow requests.
At that time, Cursor charged for the Pro package 500 fast requests/month and unlimited slow requests, which was great.
When Claude 3.7 sonnet thinking came out, slow requests became slower, but at least they were still unlimited → this is great.
Currently, Cursor no longer charges for 500 fast requests, and no longer has unlimited slow requests.
But I still support Cursor, because maybe that is the best way for Cursor to make a profit, Cursor deserves a good profit for what it has done.
Now, it seems I can no longer afford to use Cursor, the price is too expensive, Cursor is no longer for people with little money.
I’m sorry but I intentionally used a credit card with no money to use up all 40$ of Cursor this month, this is my last month using Cursor Pro. Because I don’t have much money, I only want to use the Claude Sonnet model, the other models are not qualified for me to use.
I still continue to use Cursor because of its smart tab feature. But now I use Claude Code, I don’t buy the API Key of Claude Code directly, but I buy the API key through third-party Shops.
The packages provided by third-party Shops are actually better than Cursor. 50$ package → I can use up to 100$ per day of API Claude Code for 30 days.
There is really no way I can use up 100$ API Claude Code in 1 day, I think Cursor should also learn how to make profit like these 3rd party Shops. Otherwise, these Shops will steal all users from all IDEs like Cursor.
