Unable to install Cursor

I have been unable for find any documentation that helps me install Cursor on Linux Ubuntu 24.04. I did find a third party post that claied that all you needed to do is to make the Appimage file that was downloaded executable and then run it. This did not work - clicking on the file did nothing - and I am at a loss to determine how to proceed.

Can you add a how-to guide on installing/using cursor in Ubuntu?

The current guide is on some other website where it recommends using fuse to install but fuse breaks ubuntu according to some users. Can @cursor team write up a guide on how to safely install this on ubuntu and also consider addressing any security issues if downloaded in ubuntu?

I managed to install it on Ubuntu 24.04 with the instructions of the first post mentioned by @deanrie . In case you are unable to make it work, please post the steps performed and errors you get, so we can help you with the installation.
