When using any model, it says: “You've hit your rate limit on this model.”

I can’t use any model at all. Even when I use the worst models, it still says “You’ve hit your rate limit on this model.” Before, I could at least use gemini-2.5-pro, but now I can’t use anything at all. I made a few requests and now I can’t use anything anymore. I can only use auto mode, but the responses are just terrible.
Previously, this message only appeared after 2-3 requests in claude-4-sonnet/claude-4-opus, but I could still use gemini-2.5-pro.
The problem is not related to billing closure. All my billing accounts are closed.
What should I do?

Have a good rest,man.

I am hitting the same bug. I was using Sonnet 4 regular, this window popped up. I switched and try different models that are Sonnet. No dice. I try Google-Pro and I get the same window and I haven’t used that model at all this month and it says I already hit my limit.

There needs to be more transparency as to what the limits apply to (if its a group of models and not just specific models etc…) its hard to work within limits if you don’t know where those limits are.

Use auto mode. Your project does not “need” a specific model.

Hey, this does genuinely look like you have consumed your usage, and will need to wait for your usage to reset.

We’ve just published more information here, which may give you more information about this system:

I’ve been with Cursor since day one. But now it’s turned into a money-hungry platform. Do you really think customers will stick around? I’m done with Cursor-sorry. You’re ripping people off, and it all feels deliberately designed that way.
