Yesterday i was using curso without any problems, today i woke up and every request i send it returns:

NO i did not used or abused free trial accounts, i used only one account.
YES i was using vpn, but i already tried turning off and the error persisted.
YES my account it was a google account
YES i did tried logging with anothers account after the error persisted, but it did not chaged anything

My IP got banned for no reason e the [email protected] does not responde me or help me, i was thinking of buying the pro version but how can i? what is i buy and my ip get ban i and dont have anyone to get help from
You probably won’t be directly to blame for that now. This will probably have been triggered by the VPN, because after all, 1000 people use the same IP from the VPN provider and someone will have done something that will have led to anomalies.
The IP will probably be associated with your ACC at that moment, so disconnecting the VPN will have no effect.
Why are you using a VPN for Cursor at all?
Hey, you might be using a free VPN. Try disabling it, log out of Cursor, restart Cursor, and then log back in. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, please send an email to [email protected].
This issue is not resolved by re-login; sometimes we need to use a VPN to access websites that are blocked in our region. If users are blocked simply for using a VPN, I believe it’s unfair.
I have the same question i have try logout and re-login,but it no use.if i do not use the VPN , I can not use the cursor. Doesn’t it have the other way to solve?
I think we’re all experiencing the same thing — I believe it’s a cursor error. I’m not using a VPN. I have two cursor windows open, one for front and one for back. In the back, Claude 3.7 works perfectly, but in the front it doesn’t. However, if I switch to 3.5 or to automatic, it works fine. It makes no sense.
This can happen if you’re using a free VPN. However, this particular issue doesn’t seem to be related to that. We’ve received many reports about this issue and are working to fix it.
Description - When we use claude-3.5-sonnet, claude-3.7-sonnet it directly gives - “Your request has been blocked as our system has detected suspicious activity from your account.”. If we use gemini-2.5-pro, gpt-4.1 the coversation continues a little bit but when there is function calling for editing the files it gives this error - “We’re having trouble connecting to the model provider. This might be temporary - please try again in a moment.”, I wasn’t using VPN but the error in cursor prompted me to use one so I did and still the issue persists
To reproduce - Install CursorUserSetup-x64-0.50.5 and try to use the above discussed models.
Versions - cursor: x64-0.50.5, operating system: Windows-11 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5058411)
The issue is increasingly affecting my ability to use Cursor effectively. The unresponsive cursor and recurring bugs interrupt my daily workflow. I’ve had to switch to alternative tools on several occasions because certain features became unusable or too unstable to rely on.
It’s becoming difficult to depend on Cursor as my main development environment, and this is disappointing given how promising and productive the platform used to be.
