I’m having an issue with the ‘Auto’ model. When I try to use it, I get an error saying: ‘AI Model Not Found. Model name is not valid: “block”’, and I can’t do anything. Interestingly, the ‘Grok Code’ model works perfectly fine. It’s only the ‘Auto’ model that isn’t working.
I am getting this issue as well. I have no custom models. I have been getting a lot of errors lately about the service not being available, and it only will work again if I restart Cursor, but this may be unrelated. I cannot switch to a different model, because I hit my limit and I’m not at the end of my month yet. Only “auto” is available.
My “Models” page looks identical to Nguyen Quan’s above.
I uninstalled and then re-installed Cursor, and now this is the message that I am getting as a popup. I am simply trying to use the “Auto” mode.
For what it’s worth, when I opened Cursor after reinstalling, it connected to my WSL instance as expected, but it told me that my old chat was corrupted and could be read, but I could not send any additional messages and I had to open a new chat.
Again, I have a Pro Plan, and am trying to use “Auto”, but I cannot switch to another model because I have already used this month’s quota.
I got the same issue 10 mins ago when using auto mode. And closed the auto mode, selected a model, then it works. finally switched back to auto mode, it also works. I don’t know what happeded.
No, it’s definitely not resolved. I switched to a different model, but got the “you can’t do that unless you give us more money” thing, and I had to press the button to go back to “auto”. I tried this about 10 times. About the 3rd time of switching back and forth it actually submitted the request to “auto”, but that was the only time. I’m quite frustrated because I pay for this service for my personal projects, and I only have a few hours a day that I can work on it, and right now, Cursor is useless for it’s advertised purpose.
