For those just joining the party now; Cursor is having issues - Seeing mix of 500/502/504 responses.

This affects all versions free/paid.

Infra team is aware and working on a fix/deploying a fix

The internet connectivity warning is gone but the chat is still unresponsive. Hopefully the fix will gradually kick in (if multiple server clusters are being fixe one at a time and start sharing the load).

Since the last post was 6 hours ago, just thought I’d pop in with an updated: still having this issue.

We're having trouble connecting to the model provider. This might be temporary - please try again in a moment.

This is still happening. The degraded performance has not been resolved but the status page says that it has.

Hit send, take a nap, come back and it is still generating. :man_facepalming:t4:

This is from the dev tools.

After several hours and digging through the forums. I found a post that points to this https://docs.cursor.com/troubleshooting/common-issues#networking-issues-http

By disabling HTTP/2 I was able to get it to work again.

I hope this helps someone.

having the same issue

Why am I plagued by this issue at all times EXCEPT when I pay for fast requests? Call me cynical…

Two days - still getting this error Http2 disable doesn’t do anything.

Added Roo-coder to Cursor - can now work but cursor is dead to me until this fu_x is fixed.

**fu_x-** *(noun)*
/plural: fuxes/

**Definition:**
A software bug that should have been fixed already but wasn’t—usually because the team prioritized new features over stability. A blend of *■■■■-up* and *bug fix*, a **f u x** represents the cost of moving too fast and breaking things without circling back.

---

**Example Usage:**
- *"That’s not just a bug—it’s a fu_x. We knew about it two sprints ago."*
- *"This crash on launch? Total fu_x. Everyone was too busy with the new UI rollout."*
- *"The product’s full of fuxes. Time to freeze features and clean house."*
