Cursor Agent Wheel Disappeared — Stuck in One Mode

Hey, this is a known change. The Agent/Editor/Zen tabs in the top bar were removed in recent updates. They’ve been replaced with custom layouts.

From your screenshot, it looks like you don’t have the gear icon in the top-right corner. That’s weird, it should be there to manage layout presets.

For now, use keyboard shortcuts to switch:

  • Ctrl+E to quickly switch to the Editor layout
  • Ctrl+Alt+Tab to cycle through layouts. If that doesn’t work, go to Keyboard Shortcuts, find View: Switch Layout, and set your own shortcut
