eversince the recent update I haven’t been able to use cursor. As displayed in the screenshot it appears my account is not being detected by the app. I tried to see if I could change profile but with the new update I have not been able to locate the option to switch profiles. I tried logging out and logging back in and still nothing. I tried reinstalled but still nothing.
Hey, from the screenshot it looks like you’re logged into Cursor (the Log Out button is there, Data Sharing is enabled), but in General it’s not showing your email and you still see the Upgrade to Pro banner. On the backend your account looks fine, Pro is active, and requests are going through, so this looks like a UI cache issue after an update, not a real loss of access.
Try this order:
- Fully quit Cursor from the system tray (system tray icon → Quit), not just the X. Make sure there are no Cursor processes in Task Manager.
- Open
%APPDATA%\Cursorin File Explorer and rename theCachefolder (for example toCache_old) so you can roll back if needed. - Launch Cursor again and check General.
If that doesn’t help, send your Cursor version (Help → About) and confirm whether renaming the cache helped.
