Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known intermittent connection issue. Most often, disabling HTTP/2 helps:

  • Open Cursor Settings `Ctrl + ,
  • Search for “HTTP/2”
  • Enable “Disable HTTP/2”
  • Restart Cursor

Also try creating a new chat, which can resolve the issue too.

If that doesn’t help, try:

  • Check MCP servers (if configured): Cursor has an 80‑tool limit. Disable any MCP servers you’re not using.
  • Run network diagnostics: Cursor Settings → Network → Run Diagnostics
  • Switch DNS to Google/Cloudflare: System Settings → Network → select your connection → Details → DNS tab
    • Add 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1
    • Restart Cursor

Let me know if disabling HTTP/2 helps. If the issue persists, share any error messages so we can investigate further.
