Use cursor to upgrade the version. Do not restart after the upgrade file is downloaded;
Open the system’s [Task Manager] to find the cursor upgrade process setup (starting with the setup name);
Find the downloaded upgrade package through the upgrade process and copy it to a backup folder (the upgrade package storage location is the system temporary directory. This file will be automatically deleted when the cursor upgrade is completed or fails);
You can close the cursor at this time, even if the automatic upgrade fails;
Manually run the backup upgrade package file, install it, and finally you are done! Note: The computer is Windows 11 system
At the main cursor page the link points to 0.45.17 version but in downloads we have the 0.46.7 as latest. What a mess.
And this 0.46.7 still now working here. After send the prompt, the AI does the analisys, but the applying and generating do not work.
After minutes I got “The diff algorithm was stopped early (after 5000 ms.” and the file is broken.
The message “Your conversation is too long. Please try creating a new conversation or shortening your messages.” is invalid. My code is small, as the 2 lines prompt.
THIS IS HAPPENIG ALL THIS WEEK AFTER THE RELEASE 0.45!!!
Just one message in the chat… But I installed Cursor 46 on another notebook and it worked. Maybe installing and uninstalling updates could have created problems. I’m researching what to do.
If you’re seeing the renaming tools error, can you go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Programs\cursor\ and then delete the folder with an underscore (folder named _)?
