Yep this fixes it!
Hi @kevinn @deanrie , sorry for pinging again, but I’m kind of stuck here and not sure what else I can try.
Grok Bot has been completely unusable for me for about a week now.
I’m on 0.47.0 / Windows 11 Home 25H2. The browser login itself seems to work, it redirects me back to the app, but Grok Bot still stays on the sign-in screen and then shows:
“Cursor sign-in was not completed. Please try again.”
I’ve already reinstalled the app, cleared AppData, cleared all browser cookies, tried incognito/private login, restarted Windows, and repeated the login flow multiple times. Nothing has changed.
The tricky part is that I also can’t use Settings / Reset / Recover, because I never get past the initial login screen.
At this point I’m out of things I can try locally. Could someone please take a look at my account on the backend and check whether the Grok Bot auth/session/machine state is stuck?
I’m happy to send my Cursor account email privately if that helps.
I’ve also emailed support more than once, but haven’t received a reply yet, so I’d really appreciate if someone from the Grok Bot team could take a look.
@Nikita_Chirkin, your case is different from the main issue in this thread, so the fixes shared here won’t work for you.
For most users in this thread, the app stays logged in and only message sending fails. What helps them is Settings > Updates > Update Grok Bot’s Computer. Your issue is different: the login never finishes at all Cursor sign-in was not completed, and you’re stuck on the sign-in screen, so you can’t even reach Update/Reset/Recover.
You’ve already tried all the local steps reinstall, clearing AppData, cookies, incognito, restart. There’s really nothing else to try on your side, and it’s not caused by your setup. We need to check the auth/session/machine state on the backend.
Please send me the email for your Cursor account. I’ll check the session and the Grok Bot machine state and get back to you with an update. If you happen to have a Request ID from one of the sign-in attempts, please include it too, but it’s optional.
Thanks. I don’t seem to have an option to send you a private message on the forum.
Could you please DM me first, or let me know the safest way to send you the email associated with my Cursor account?
I’d prefer not to post my account email publicly.
Hi @kevinn, I am experiencing the same “Authentication error” issue with Grok Bot. I have already tried logging out, clearing my cache, and reinstalling, but the problem persists.
Could you please reset my Grok Bot cloud machine from your side?

Thank you!
Hey I’m having the same problem, can you please do the same for me?
Hey I’m having the same problem, can you please do the same for me?
I see the same problem using grok bot 0.47.0 on mac OS.
Have the same issue on mac, deleted the app and reinstalled did not he;lp.
same here. v0.51.0 on macOS Tahoe 26.6.2

Same here 49c907a6-c186-44b5-bbec-681b72741855
I am excited on participating on Grok Galaxie today.
But sadly I cant use it at the moment
0.51.0 on Windows 11
In the Settings I could update all Cloud Computers.. this solved the issue
@deanrie Sorry to ask here. My issue is slightly different, but I’m also unable to complete the Cursor authentication flow and there seems to be nothing I can do locally.
My existing support ticket is T-F38569, opened on September 3. Sam said it had been passed to a teammate, but I still have not received any human response after almost two weeks.
My sign-in is blocked at the Radar SMS verification step because the old phone number is no longer accessible. Even Cursor’s Contact Support requires me to sign in first, which sends me back to the same SMS verification screen.
I’m not asking you to resolve the account issue here. Could you please help check whether T-F38569 is still active or route it to the appropriate Accounts/authentication team for human review?
Thank you.
@Kacer Glad it worked. In this case, the working approach is updating all Cloud Computers in Settings. It moves the computer to the latest build, and the bots and data stay in place.
Have a great time at Grok Galaxie. If the error comes back, post here.
Hi @kevinn, just wanted to follow up on this.
It’s been over 10 days now and I still can’t sign in to Grok Bot. Dean mentioned that you would check my case, but I haven’t seen an update yet.
The error is still exactly the same: “Cursor sign-in was not completed. Please try again.”
Would really appreciate it if you could take a look when you get a chance. I’m still completely locked out.
Hey @Nikita_Chirkin, thanks for your patience, and sorry for the wait.
We checked your account on our side. Nothing is stuck in your session or in Grok Bot’s computer state, so a reset wouldn’t change anything. The local steps you already tried also won’t help.
Sign-in works in two steps. First, the browser step completes on your side. Then the Grok Bot app has to contact our servers to pick up the session. That second step is being declined based on where the computer running Grok Bot is connecting from.
Cursor isn’t available in every region. Access to the service is governed by our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and we monitor and enforce those on an ongoing basis. What you’re seeing in the app reflects the current availability for your account and location.
