It’s been almost another month since my last post to customer service. I’ve sent 8 emails but still received no response. I want to know, is cursor’s customer service really this overrated? To the point that they ignore customer inquiries and problems? Is this necessary???
Hi and welcome to the forum, could you share a bit more detalied what the issue is?
The Cursor team is busy with customer support requests and answering here in the forum, so in case they missed yours, it might be helpful to post here the overall issue.
Please do not post personal details or email address here.
At first, I used my personal email to register for a Cursor subscription and subscribed to the annual membership. When the student promotion became available, I began the verification process. At that time, there was no requirement for my account email to match my student email. I successfully verified my status. However, after verification, you started requiring the login email to match the student email. How can I match them? Since you initially did not require a student email for verification and I passed the verification process, why can’t you refund me or grant me student eligibility? Isn’t this deceiving consumers? I tried sending you 8 emails and waited a month, but I never got a single response. Do you know how expensive an annual subscription fee is for a student? I provided verification when there were no such requirements; shouldn’t you allow me to gain student eligibility based on the rules at that time? I am so disappointed in your Cursor customer service. I sent 8 emails over the course of a month, and you completely ignored me.
Did you not understand what I meant? I have already successfully applied for student verification, but due to inconsistencies in your requirements, at the time of application, you did not require my Cursor account email to be a student email. As a result, the permissions on my Cursor account linked to my Gmail, which was already approved, cannot be used anymore. The payment I’ve made also cannot be refunded. Is this reasonable? When I applied, it wasn’t required, but after completing certification, you changed the terms. So how do I handle this? I just hope to be able to use this certification normally, and to get a refund for the unused portion. This amount is a significant living expense for me as a student, and I need to work part-time to afford it.
