Not working after logged in a new device

Hi,

I changed my laptop on February 16. Before that, my cursor was running smoothly. I have a pro subscription and logged into my new device on the same day. However, the cursor is not working; chat, auto-complete, and other

features are also not functioning. I still have 19 days left on my subscription (5 days have already passed due to delays from the Cursor team). I have submitted 71 requests, while I have access to 500.

What should I do now?

I logged out from my old device and restarted my new device. I am also not using a VPN or proxy, but I am still facing the same issue. When I ask something, it shows “generating,” but it does not actually generate an answer.

I have emailed the Cursor team more than 10 times, but they are not resolving the issue. They mentioned that I need to wait, but it seems they will only solve the problem after my subscription expires.

Hey, the issue might be related to your antivirus or Defender. Do you have either of these? Maybe @danperks can help here.

There is no antivirus or defender without windows 11 internal antivirus.

There is no antivirus or defender without windows 11 internal antivirus. I told danperks.

The error you’re seeing suggests there might be a connection issue - a reinstall should fix this up. If you’re still having trouble after that, let me know and I’ll pass it to the team to investigate further

For reference, here’s our reinstall guide: https://docs.cursor.com/getting-started/installation#reinstalling-cursor
