Student Re-Verification Required

Hello, I’m a student with an .edu email (in USA) with a valid government issued ID. I’ve been using my driver’s license to get the verification to work but it is not working for me. Would great appreciate help!

Same issue here. I signed up for Cursor Pro the first time at Jul 2025, but asked to reverified on Sep 17. Recently when I tried to reverify the link seems to have been expired. Could you please send me another verification link, thanks!@condor

Hi!

I’m not sure if posting the bug here has led to any kind of solutions yet, but if yes I would love if I could resume my 1 year of cursor pro subscription which I received through the promotion. I got the email like everyone else that I need to reverify, and when I did verify I got the error prompt a bunch of times. And now at this point I too am getting the Verification Limit Exceeded message
Has there been a solution on how to fix this issue?
I got the re verification message on 16th Sept as well

Also got an error after this

I had my account verified and had been using cursor pro with student discount, but now I also have the problem of re-verification. There seems no email on my student mailbox. Please help.

Dear Cursor Team, I did re-verified but it seems SheerID didn’t update my “re-verified“ status with Cursor thus I couldn’t claim my student discount after successful re-verification.

I’m in the same loop others mentioned. The September reverification link errors, and the verify link on Cursor’s site says I can’t go through the process again and to contact SheerID. SheerID confirmed I’m within the 12‑month window and sent me back to Cursor; I haven’t heard back from email support yet.

Could this be escalated for the same internal reset/override others received—either restore student Pro based on the existing verification or issue a fresh reverification link that bypasses the “already used” limit and clears the attempt block? Thanks.

Same here, the re-verify email came on Sep 18. The link now 404s (likely expired). I’m still within the one-year window. Please DM me or resend a fresh verification link. Thanks! @condor

Like many other students on this thread, I received the banner on the top of the “Overview” tab in my cursor account (I created this account last Spring and verified it immediately after). I’ve attached a photo below. When I click the “Settings” tab and then the “verify Student status” tab, a new tab opens and I fill out all required information (name, country, DOB, University, edu email, etc.) and then submit, and see this screen, that says “Verification Limit Exceeded” see picture below. Please help!

I am trying to claim the 1 Free Year of Cursor Pro student benefit. I am a student at the University of Waterloo, which is a degree-granting school and should be supported.
Goal: Verify my student status to unlock the free Pro subscription.

Attempted Verification Method: Uploading my ID/Proof of Enrollment on the Cursor site.

Resulting Error: After uploading the necessary documents, I received the following error message:

“Error: We had trouble validating your ID. Please contact SheerID support.” (See attached screenshot for reference.)…how can i fixed? i also used my university domain mail.

I received the verification email, but couldn’t apply it to my cursor account. When I try to do it again, it keeps saying “verification limit exceeded”. Could you please help with this? Thank you so much for your time!

I am having the same issue re-verifying email was in the spam and never seen it. How can this be re-verified after the expiration. Please help. Thank you

I was asked to re-verify my student status, but I wasn’t able to complete the process before the link expired. Now, I’m seeing a message indicating that all offers have already been redeemed or something similar. Would it be possible to resend the re-verification link?

I reached out to Sheer, and they confirmed that my student status is valid, but they weren’t able to assist with the verification issue.

Hello! I’m having the same issue as almost everybody. I tried to do the verification but it gave error validating my ID and I don’t understand why.

Hi. I verified my student status. But after some time, my account was switched backed to free trial plan and in the settings it says I’m not eligible. Thank you for your help!

@condor My account warns that Student Re-Verification Required.

You must re-verify your student status with SheerID to continue receiving your student discount benefits. Your subscription will be canceled if you do not re-verify by September 22. Please check your email for a verification link.

The deadline has passed, so I am unable to reverify. I was wondering what steps we can take to resolve the issue.

Hi @condor , I’ve also been experiencing ”Verification Limit exceeded” after submitting several times with valid forms of verification. I have a valid .edu email and proof of enrollment with a date. Can you assist with this? Thank you!
