Hi Cursor Team,
I am a Master’s student at Northeastern University (Boston). I’m stuck in a loop where SheerID and Cursor Support are pointing fingers at each other, and I need an engineer’s help to break the cycle.
The Issue: I receive the verification email at my .edu address, but clicking the link leads to a 404 page (“URL may be incorrect or no longer available”).
The Root Cause (My Hypothesis): I suspect my account was flagged by SheerID’s fraud detection because I attempted the first verification during the summer while I was doing an intern outside the US. Now that I am back in Boston and on campus, the system seems to have “soft-blocked” my email/account, providing only dead links.
Evidence of Eligibility:
I have already been verified by SheerID for ChatGPT Student and Gemini.
I am currently in Boston and can provide my NEU ID, transcript, or tuition receipt immediately.
Since the automated SheerID flow is clearly failing due to this prior location flag, could you please manually whitelist my account or override the verification status?

When I tried to follow the steps of student verification of the Cursor, I successfully entered my info and received the email to my .edu email account, but when I tried to open the link in the email, it opened a page that said there was an error and let me try again,“Error, We are sorry, the page you requested cannot be found. The URL may be incorrect or the page you’re looking for is no longer available.” I am sure the info I entered is correct and I am eligible for the student discount because I already verified by SheerID in the ChatGPT student discount, and I am able to provide more documentation if needed. Would you mind taking a look at my case? I didn’t receive any useful response when I tried to contact you guys last time.
