I’ve applied for the one year student offer, I got verified and received the email, on the email was a “apply discount” button, when i click it it just takes me to the settings page, and I remain on the free plan! Please help me. After I click the button, it takes me to this page on cursor. I’d greatly appreciate your support on my case!

I am stuck in an endless, frustrating loop and need a human to fix a broken redemption process on your end. My student verification was fully approved by SheerID, but the discount completely fails to apply to my account. Because your system is bugged and I urgently needed the tool, I was forced to pay for a one-month Pro subscription out of pocket.
Frankly, if you cannot handle the technical backend to actually apply the student discounts you advertise, you shouldn’t be advertising them at all. It is unacceptable to bounce verified users between two automated support systems that just point fingers at each other.
Issue Description: When I click the success link in my SheerID approval email, it simply redirects me to the standard Cursor dashboard without activating the Pro student discount.
Troubleshooting Steps I’ve Tried:

Cleared my browser cache and cookies.

Tried Different browser.

Tested on completely different devices and different Wi-Fi networks.

Attempted to go through the verification form again, this time including my middle name. It looked like it was processing, but then threw an error stating I have “already been approved.”

Contacted SheerID Support: They confirmed my approval is fully active (SheerID Request I: upon request it is available ) and explicitly stated they have no access to Cursor’s systems to fix redemption issues.

Contacted Cursor Email Support: Your AI assistant sent a useless automated reply telling me to contact SheerID again.
Since SheerID has already fully approved my status, I am not asking for a manual verification override. I am asking for a real person to fix the broken sync on your dashboard so I can actually use the discount I am entitled to.
I am logged in with my .edu email as requested. I expect a DM and a real resolution to this.

I’m a grad student at Stanford, and I am trying to sign up for the student discount. Every time I try to upload documents via SheerID to verify my student status, I get an error that says “The document is insufficient for establishing eligibility for this offer.” I have tried uploading my student ID (which unfortunately, does not have an expiration date), my course schedule, my course calendar, my transcript, and my tuition bill. I am not sure what other documents I can provide. Could you please provide assistance?

Hi, I’m a master’s student at the University of Bergen (Norway). Norway is listed as a supported country, but the automated system marks me as “Not eligible” because my email (student.uib.no) isn’t a .edu domain. No Norwegian university uses .edu — this is a known gap.

Emailing [email protected] (ticket T-B34595 — the AI bot rejected me for not having .edu, which is the exact problem I was reporting)
I have a valid, dated student ID from Sikt (Norway’s national student verification system). Happy to provide it. I just need someone human to look at this.
SheerID is complete garbage and there something to said about vendors, like Cursor, who partner with them. Just requiring a .edu address was a much better system.
Tried verifying using my student ID, my unofficial transcript with current classes, and a pdf of my bill for this year. I emailed SheerID, but it wasn’t very helpful.

I’ve tried uploading both sides of my student card, my tuition receipt, and my class schedule, but none of them seem to work. The error message also seems to be very general, so I was just wondering if I could get some help on this matter? Thanks.
Cursor Sheer ID verification not working
Been trying to validate my ID for 3 days now and it just sends me into the loop. I send in my credentials and then it sends me the email link and once I click it, it says that something went wrong and to contact sheer ID - which does not help at all. I am told to use an edu email but my university is in Canada and we have our own domain.

I tried verifying my student status for the 1yr cursor pro subscription but when i clicked on the finish verifying email, it says that my verification limit is exceeded.
I tried a few months ago during september/october and that time the verification process asked me for ID and i submitted my passport as i’m an international student and it didn’t work then either.
I retried it now and it says verification limited exceeded.
Is there a way i can submit a new verification? filled out all the details right

Hi, I have never redeemed the offer before, I tried but it did not work, now a couple of months later, I tried to verify my student Id again and its still not working and i am seeing the same issue again - kindly assist
I am currently trapped in a “verification deadlock” where Cursor’s automated systems and its partner, SheerID, have collectively failed to validate my student status. After SheerID rejected my documents and permanently closed my ticket, the Cursor AI support bot refused to override the decision, and the verification portal eventually hard-locked my account with a “Verification Limit Exceeded” error. Even my attempt to seek help on the community forum was automatically unlisted by a system bot.
