No way
. After the latest update (30 minutes ago) I have plenty of screen space, yet I can’t see what model I’m using . See:
This is either a bug, or somebody snuck in a really nasty idea ![]()
Hey, thanks for the report. I see the screenshot. The input shows Agent and High, but not the model name.
This isn’t a bug or anything in your setup. We’re currently testing a new model picker layout, and in the collapsed view, one model shows the effort or speed level instead of the model name, like High Fast. The actual model doesn’t change. You can still see it and switch it if you open the picker under the input, where it says Agent / High.
I get that this is annoying since you can’t see the active model at a glance. I shared your feedback with the team, and they’re checking how to display the model name. I can’t share an ETA yet, but I’ll post an update here if I get one.
But @deanrie , as @mohitjain noted in the bug that I filed on this (Grok 4.5 not shown in agent window model selector when set - #4 by IsshikiSenn ) – what you’ve said is only true for Grok 4.5, not for other models whose model names continue to show in the picker after selection.
Judging by the profusion of other threads discussing this change, this is an unpopular alteration to the product. I urge the team to reconsider this, and return to the perfectly functional model selector that we had until last week.
this is a desaster, not a “new layout”.
LOL @ desaster
. We’ve all done desasters
. We’re in this together to make it better.
@deanrie kind of you to consider this, thank you
. Just reminding you that these days we’re running 4K monitors. No need to save screen space. Codex for example hides this information as the window size changes. Here’s a cue from their ux:
Then, larger window:
It’s probably 30 seconds of dictation :D, handover to Composer or Grok, push ![]()
