In my case no. I have tried to make cursor be functiona again installing 3 versions and all config are preserved. But here, is not working. When I try to apply, gets slow and make code errors.
Hi, No I didn’t lose any of my previous configurations and extensions or any other settings.
Easy, just move files from _ to the root dir of the Cursor solves the problem lol
Would you bring back the “Restore” feature in the prompt window in 0.46.x versions? That’s quite a needed feature when using the Agent mode. Especially now that Agent mode is default in 0.46.x, I don’t know how we can prompt without that safety net.
Solving the problem of uninstalling cursor and reinstalling CursorUserSetup-x64-0.46.5.exe
yes, it is 0.45
awesome solution here. totally worked for me. Thanks @AbleArcher !
I wouldn’t worry about it, Cursor is absolutely broken right now anyway
fax i have tried everything either its ■■■■ or just totally bricked they really need to try and fix this and prevent such mistakes from coming to production rushing features isnt worth this kinda trauma
Tried to update this: CodeSetup-stable-0.46.6.exe
ended up with broken installation.
possible fix is to install it again C:\Users\{userName}\AppData\Local\Temp\vscode-stable-user-x64-*
I cant believe that I get the same bug again 12 hours later. I just fixed it earlier by fetching the update file from the tmp folder and here we go again. Lesson must be; do not update when prompted.
Fortunately, the previous solution with the file from Temp works.
Yeah - I saved the setup file on my desktop, so I can at least revert to that.
Just reinstalled and guess what I see… Fool me once…
lol this is absolutely crazy what version are u on rn btw?
im on 46.3 and its very slow and laggy how can i get to 46.5?
Same issues. I reinstated Cursor 0.45, Please fix quickly
I reinstall it twice, but it will try to update automatically, thus crashes again
hey i manage to fix it by installing this version here:
https://anysphere-binaries.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/production/fce3511bab261b4c986797f3e1e40e7621bbd012/win32/x64/user-setup/CursorUserSetup-x64-0.46.3.exe
and then proceed to check for updates inside cursor and when it started to install the update (wich it bumps from 46.3 to 46.6) i just closed cursor and waited for the process to complete in the installation directory and that it… it works now for me
