Grok Bot Agent Computer stuck in partial state on Mac and iOS

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Describe the Bug

Agent Computer unreachable. Reset failed with “partial state.” App then shows “Can’t Reach Grok Bot’s Computer / firewall, VPN, or proxy / *.cursorvm.com.” Same account on iOS cellular hangs on the logo. No VPN/proxy/firewall on my side. Nothing changed locally. Please rebuild the Agent Computer.

Steps to Reproduce

Open Grok Bot on Mac.
See “Can’t reach your computer.”
Sign out/in. Still unreachable.
Recover/Reset → “Reset failed… computer may be in a partial state.”
App then shows the *.cursorvm.com firewall message.
iOS app on 5G (Wi-Fi off) stays on the logo.

Expected Behavior

Reconnect to the existing Agent Computer and load bots/files.

Version Information

Can’t open About — app never connects. Mac Grok Bot + iOS Grok Bot, same account.

N/A — computer never loads, no model used.

Additional Information

Started ~12:00 AM PDT Sept 8, 2026. Reset already failed (“partial state”). Please do not have me Reset/Recover/Update again. Rebuild the Agent Computer from your side. Screenshots attached.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey @PGT thanks for the report, and sorry about this. This is on our side, not your setup, so your network, VPN, and firewall are all fine (and it’s the same reason iOS is stuck on the logo). Please hold off on Reset/Recover/Update or signing out for now, since those get in the way of the fix. I’ve passed your account to the team to look at on the backend, and I’ll update you here as soon as there’s more.

Update: the team’s had a look at your Agent Computer on the backend. Go ahead and reopen Grok Bot (desktop or iOS). Opening it wakes the computer back up. Once it’s back, please check things over and let me know how it comes back. If anything’s missing, reply here and I’ll jump right back on it.
