Please don’t force features on users. If I unpin a tab, it’s a conscious decision not to see or use it. Bringing it back every time I restart the app won’t make me want to use the feature—if anything, it only builds frustration and resentment.
There’s an ‘All Agents’ shortcut pinned to the explorer’s topbar. I unpin it everytime but it comes back the next session. Can we please remove that, perhaps there’s a way to remove it from the topbar entirely?
Steps to Reproduce
Open IDE, unpin the shortcut from topbar and relaunch.
Expected Behavior
The unpinned item should stay unpinned.
Operating System
Linux
Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)
Hi, I just upgraded Cursor from 1.4.2 to ver. 1.5.11, and found there a new tab “All Agents” appeared on Primary Sidebar.
I tried to unpin the tab because I am not likely using it, however, it becomes pinned each time I restarted/reloaded the window.
This doesn’t affect functionality but really annoying to me.
Steps to Reproduce
Unpin “All Agents” tab on Primary Sidebar, then reload the window
Expected Behavior
“All Agents” tab should remain unpinned after reload/restart the window
Also, to add to this feature: the default key binding for this tab overrides “File → Save as…”, which is unheard of. “Save as…” is one of the core features of a text editor (!), so please change the All Agents tab’s keybinding as well.
I’m seeing the same issue on current version: Version: 1.6.42 (Universal) Commit: 5911e9593196a000b1c00553aaf03b0b32042b90 Date: 2025-09-20T17:16:56.346Z (1 day ago) OS: Darwin arm64 24.6.0
For anyone looking for a workaround:
In the dropdown menu, try dragging “All Agents” to reorder it below your own pinned items. This way, when the sidebar is narrow, your frequently used items will still show up first, and “All Agents” won’t get in the way of your own pins.
Hope allowing to unpin it can be considered. Thanks!
@deanrie This is still happening. After unpinning “All Agents”, it comes back as pinned after restarting Cursor. It’s pretty annoying. I’m on v1.7.12, but it was also happening with v1.6 (and v1.5 I think)
